Global Banking & Markets Operations - Prime Brokerage & BD Ops - Analyst - Hyderabad

Role Overview: You will be joining the Prime Brokerage & Clearing Operations team at Goldman Sachs, reporting to a Team Manager with further supervision by the Vice President. Your key stakeholders and interactions will include GS Trading and Sales Desks, Client Services Group, Engineering and Operations Teams, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and external counterparties. Your responsibilities will involve developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, delivering transactions in agreed timeframes, monitoring and resolving trade management exceptions, investigating discrepancies of positions, providing effective client service, escalating critical breaks to senior management, and providing technical expertise related to new processes and risk management initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, actively engage, partner, and drive changes - Deliver transactions in agreed timeframes, reduce errors, and promote a zero-error culture - Monitor and resolve trade management exceptions by interacting with clients, brokers, and other Ops teams - Ensure timely settlement of trades with counterparties through effective pre-matching and fails management tasks - Investigate and resolve discrepancies of positions in the firm's books and records - Provide effective client service by handling client queries with sensitivity and urgency - Escalate critical and high-value breaks to senior management promptly - Provide technical expertise related to new processes, risk management, efficiency, and technology convergence initiatives - Oversee daily checklist to ensure all controls, procedures, and processes are followed - Act as a change agent by solving problems at the root cause and seeking opportunities to automate flows Qualifications Required: - Enthusiastic and committed individual with strong communication and teamwork skills - Exceptional client service and relationship building abilities - Control focus and achievement orientation to mitigate risks and produce results - Strong organizational skills with strict adherence to deadlines - Prompt escalation and clear communication skills - Flexibility to work on projects and support team members Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in leading a team providing task supervision, support, and training - Control/Reconciliation or Prime brokerage operations experience is desirable - Equities Industry and market knowledge would be an advantage Note: Goldman Sachs is a leading global investment banking, securities, and investment management firm committed to fostering diversity and inclusion.
