Role Overview and Requirement:

3-6+ years of experience in the GIS and AWS environment. Our client is seeking experienced GIS Cloud Engineers with strong skills in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) combined with AWS cloud technologies. This role focuses on designing, developing, deploying,

and managing cloud-based GIS solutions to support enterprise-scale spatial data operations and analytics.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with GIS platforms (such as ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar), and proven expertise in AWS services used to host, process, and integrate geospatial data.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement GIS solutions on AWS Cloud, including architecture, configuration, and deployment.

Manage, maintain, and optimize GIS servers, databases, and applications in a cloud environment.

Develop and automate data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and serving spatial data.

Integrate GIS systems with other enterprise applications and data sources.

Use AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and IAM to deploy scalable and secure GIS environments.

Build APIs or services for accessing spatial data and analytics.

Work with large raster and vector datasets and optimize storage and performance.

Ensure data security, backups, and disaster recovery strategies for GIS assets on AWS.
