GET_Android App Developer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated Android App Developer to join our team focused on building mobile applications for smart lighting and fan control systems. As an entry-level developer, you will help create intuitive Android apps that interface with embedded hardware via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cloud platforms, enabling seamless smart home experiences for our users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and maintenance of Android applications for smart device control.
• Collaborate with embedded systems engineers to integrate mobile apps with hardware devices.
• Collaborate directly with designers to translate Figma designs into accurate and maintainable UI components.
• Build user interfaces using Jetpack Compose or XML layouts for real-time device interaction.
• Work with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), MQTT, WebSocket, UDP, and REST APIs to enable device communication.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and performance optimization of mobile apps.
• Stay updated with Android development tools and smart home technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of Kotlin or Java and Android development tools (Android Studio, Gradle).
• Understanding of mobile app architecture and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi communication protocols (BLE experience is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
• Academic or personal projects involving IoT or smart home applications.
• Exposure to Android BLE APIs, MQTT libraries, or Firebase.
• Experience working with embedded systems or microcontroller-based devices.
• Knowledge of Agile development practices and version control (Git).
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, IoT Core, Database, Kinesis, S3, AWS Cognito, API Gateway, SNS).

Working Conditions:

Full-time position with standard working hours i.e. 9 AM - 6 PM, Monday to Saturday.
