About the Role

We are looking for a passionate German Language Teacher to lead engaging group or one-on-one classes at our academy in Tiruvalla. You will help students build proficiency in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural understanding (German traditions, society, etc.) while preparing them for recognized certifications (e.g., Goethe‑Zertifikat, Telc).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver structured lesson plans for A1–B2 levels
• Teach grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking
• Assess and track student progress with quizzes, assignments, and regular feedback
• Incorporate cultural insights and interactive methods to foster immersive learning
• Prepare students for language exams (Goethe, Telc, TestDaF)
• Offer additional support via tutorials or tutoring
• Collaborate with colleagues to refine teaching materials and methodologies
• Stay updated with modern teaching tools

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in German, German studies, education, or related field
• Proficient/native-level German (at least B2, ideally C1–C2 certification such as Goethe or Telc)
• Minimum 1 year teaching experience at an academy, school, or private tutoring
• Experience with exam-based preparation (Goethe/Telc/TestDaF)
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom-management
• Familiarity with lesson planning, curriculum development, and student assessment
• Tech-friendly: use of multimedia, digital platforms, and interactive

Preferred Skills

• Prior participation in cultural exchange programs or lived experience in German-speaking countries
• Ability to teach online and offline, on individual and group
• Certification or training in language-teaching methodologies
• Commitment to professional development and staying updated with teaching practices
