You will be responsible for training and educating individuals in the field of geriatric care, with a focus on promoting quality of life for the elderly. Your role will involve delivering course content, developing curriculum, organizing practical training sessions, assessing student progress, and facilitating professional development opportunities. Additionally, you will engage with stakeholders to enhance course content and provide real-world learning experiences. - Effectively deliver course content covering Introduction and Basic Care Practices, Health Management and Supportive Care, and Specialized Care and Professional Development. - Continuously update course material to include the latest best practices, research findings, and technological advancements in geriatric care. - Organize and oversee practical training sessions, including simulations, workshops, and field visits, ensuring a hands-on learning experience. - Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and additional support as needed. - Encourage and guide students towards professional growth and career opportunities in geriatric care. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals, eldercare facilities, and community organizations to enhance course content and provide real-world learning opportunities. - Bachelors degree in Nursing, Gerontology, Social Work, or a related field. - Masters degree is preferred. - Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in geriatric care or elderly support services. - Prior teaching or training experience, especially in healthcare or eldercare settings. - Strong understanding of the physiological, psychological, and social aspects of aging. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Familiarity with course development and educational methodologies. - Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds. - Proficient in English and local languages. - Skilled in the use of technology for educational purposes. - Strong organizational and planning skills. - Empathy and compassion towards the elderly. - Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special sessions or field visits.
