About the role: We are seeking a seasoned Geotechnical Design Engineer for our client with proven expertise in designing Reinforced Earth (RE) walls using polyester geogrids and pavement systems with polypropylene (PP) geogrids. This role requires in-depth technical knowledge, field coordination experience, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams. Youll be directly contributing to high-performance, cost-optimized, and sustainable infrastructure projects that demand analytical rigour and practical innovation. Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Geotechnical Site Investigations - Plan and execute field investigations including borehole drilling, sampling, and testing. - Interpret lab and field test results (CBR, UCS, triaxial, consolidation). - Identify critical soil behaviors impacting wall or pavement performance. 2. Design of Reinforced Earth (RE) Walls - Perform complete structural and geotechnical design of RE walls using polyester geogrids.- Conduct stability checks (external, internal, compound). - Use software such as Geo5, MSEW, REWall, or equivalent. - Align designs to standards (IRC SP-102, BS8006, FHWA-NHI, etc.). - Prepare detailed cross-sections, elevations, and BOQs. 3. Pavement Design with PP Geogrids - Analyze subgrade strength and stiffness (CBR, modulus). - Design flexible pavement systems with PP geogrid reinforcement. - Use layered theory or mechanistic-empirical design methods. - Optimize thickness and cost using comparative studies (with vs without geogrids). - Suggest subgrade improvements like stabilization or replacement. 4. Ground Improvement & Soil Stabilization - Propose and design soil stabilization using lime, cement, geotextiles, or other methods. - Prepare stabilization mix designs and supervise field trials and implementation. 5. Technical Documentation - Prepare calculation notes, design reports, BOQs, technical specs, and justification memos. - Ensure clarity, traceability, and adherence to codes in all documents. 6. Quality Assurance & Field Coordination - Validate assumptions through on-site testing (DCP, PLT, FWD). - Review QA/QC procedures and support contractors during execution. - Troubleshoot construction-phase geotechnical challenges. 7. Project & Stakeholder Interaction - Coordinate with structural, roadway, and material engineers. - Participate in technical review meetings and client discussions. - Present findings and defend design choices confidently. 8. Compliance & Risk Mitigation - Follow IRC, AASHTO, ASTM, IS codes. - Identify geotechnical risks (expansive clays, weak fills, seepage) and propose mitigation. - Participate in value engineering exercises. This position will be responsible for working on Water & Wastewater projects, specifically Mechanical design for treatment plants, Pump stations and Pipelines. The ideal candidate should also have familiarity and understanding of other disciplines, such as Civil, Electrical, Geotechnical and structural engineering, and how the various disciplines relate to one another in a multidisciplinary project. The candidate will be required to manage projects and team personnel and should be able to work and communicate effectively with senior management, peers and team members. With this in mind, we are looking for Senior Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist, A Subject Matter Expert to join our team to work on a variety of projects and grow capabilities of Geotech and Geoenvironmental team. Prepare technical correspondence, technical reports, work plans, investigations, grant applications, and project specifications including cost estimates and budgets. Participate in proposal development, technical conference presentations, and support with general marketing and business development activities. Coordinate multiple projects and interface with regional Stantec offices. Manage data, QA/QC, interpretation, evaluation/comparison to applicable regulatory standards. Your Capabilities and Credentials Strong technical skills and experience in Geotechnical engineering field Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments. Ability to effectively communicate with other technical professionals, clients, and regulatory stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Site Investigation and Analysis Plan and execute offshore geotechnical site investigations, including sampling, in-situ testing (e-g , cone penetration tests), and geophysical surveys, Analyze seabed and sub-seabed conditions to assess soil strength, stability, and other geotechnical parameters, Interpret and process data from offshore drilling rigs, vessels, and testing equipment, Design and Engineering Perform geotechnical analyses, such as pile drivability, leg penetration (LPA), offshore pile capacities(driven and drilled & grouted), scouring, PSI, slope stability, pipe soil interaction and bearing capacity assessments, Develop solutions for soil improvement and seabed preparation in challenging conditions, Design foundations and anchoring systems for offshore platforms, wind turbines, pipelines, and other structures Technical Reporting Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, including site investigation results, engineering analyses, and design recommendations, Provide input to risk assessments, feasibility studies, and project planning documents, Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering Experience Hands-on experience with offshore site investigations, foundation design, and subsea engineering, Experience in pile driveability is mandatory requirement, Technical Skills Proficiency in geotechnical software (e-g , PLAXIS, GRLWEAP, OPile and LPile), Familiarity with offshore geotechnical equipment and testing methods, such as CPT and vibrocores, Knowledge of design standards for offshore structures (e-g , API, DNV, or ISO codes), Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, Effective communication and report-writing abilities, Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across disciplines, Certifications (Preferred) Offshore survival training and certifications (e-g , BOSIET or HUET),

Lead the structural design of towers (traction, transmission, and communication) and power supply system equipment including transformer foundations, switchgear structures, and control building supports. Review and approve structural calculations, GA drawings, reinforcement detailing, and fabrication drawings. Perform structural analysis using software like STAAD Pro, ETABS, or similar tools. Coordinate with electrical, civil, and architectural teams to ensure integrated design solutions. Oversee geotechnical investigations and incorporate soil reports into foundation designs. Ensure designs meet applicable IS, Euro, or ASTM codes and customer technical specifications. Conduct value engineering and design optimization for cost-effective solutions. Guide a team of structural engineers and review their deliverables. Provide technical support during construction, including resolving site queries and conducting site inspections when necessary. Prepare and review technical documentation for tenders and project execution.
