Job Description

Role Overview: As a General Sales & Marketing Professional at Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible for a combination of sales and marketing activities. Your role will involve conducting face-to-face or remote sales to both new and existing customers, assessing customer needs, suggesting suitable products/services/solutions, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and managing the product/brand P&L. Additionally, you may provide customer service and support by addressing inquiries related to products, pricing, billing, and more. Your expertise as a Senior Professional (P3) will be crucial in managing projects independently and overseeing the work of junior professionals to achieve sales targets in a challenging environment. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare technical/commercial offers based on customer specifications and sales directives - Participate in project kickoff meetings and define costs for proposed solutions - Coordinate with internal teams to analyze legal, contractual clauses, risks, and costs - Evaluate technical issues, customer needs, and competitor offers - Analyze lost proposals and recommend future actions for improved results - Define pricing, trading conditions, technology, and product types for proposals - Negotiate agreements with bid partners and collect relevant documentation - Provide technical support to sales managers during customer interactions - Participate in negotiations with customers on technical, contractual, and commercial aspects - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines Qualifications Required: - Degree in Engineering (electrical) or equivalent - 10-12 years of experience in Sales and Marketing - 8 years of experience as a Tendering Engineer - Knowledge of GIS substation equipment and utilities tendering process - Deep understanding of the electrical engineering industry - Experience in estimating and tendering, proficiency in MS Excel - Computer literacy, preferably in SFDC, MS Word, MS Excel - Strong communication skills and business acumen - Time management, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure - Proficiency in spoken and written English Please note that Hitachi Energy values safety and integrity, expecting employees to take responsibility for their actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
