Education: B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (MBA preferred)
Experience: 18–20 years (with at least 5 years in senior leadership handling LCs)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end LC operations: issuance, negotiation, amendment, settlement
Manage overall operations to ensure timely accomplishment of production targets
Liaise with banks, suppliers, buyers, freight forwarders, and internal teams for seamless LC transactions
Ensure full compliance with international rules, regulations, and company policies
Review and approve LC terms for alignment with contract requirements and risk mitigation
Monitor trade finance exposure, credit limits, and financial risks; recommend mitigation actions
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of LC operations
Maintain updated knowledge of international trade regulations, banking practices, and currency risk
Supervise and train LC/documentation team to maintain performance standards
Prepare regular reports on LC activities
Vendor development across India
Manage relationships with local and international banks
Raw material procurement and negotiations with steel vendors for competitive pricing
Develop, negotiate, and execute contracts with suppliers
Monitor timely payments to vendors and maintain smooth cash flow
Desired Profile:
18–20 years of progressive experience in commercial/purchase in Pre-Painted & Bare Galvalume / Galvanized Steel
Experience in sectors heavily reliant on LCs (commodity trading, building material exports, machinery imports)
Familiarity with ERP systems and LC management platforms
High analytical, negotiation, decision-making, and leadership skills
Excellent communication and team management capabilities
