Role Overview:

General Trade (GT)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement

    PAN India sales strategy

    aligned with business goals.
  • Lead and manage

    regional/zonal sales teams

    to ensure achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Drive

    General Trade (GT) sales operations

    , distributor/channel partner network expansion and performance.
  • Manage

    primary and secondary sales

    , route-to-market planning and trade promotion execution.
  • Ensure strong market penetration, coverage, and

    numeric & weighted distribution growth

    .
  • Build and strengthen relationships with

    distributors, super stockists, and key trade partners

    .
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends and provide strategic inputs to management.
  • Plan and monitor

    sales budgets, trade schemes, credit control, and ROI of channel partners

    .
  • Lead

    sales forecasting, demand planning

    , and coordination with supply chain for product availability.
  • Conduct periodic

    performance reviews

    of regional teams and ensure capability building.
  • Lead

    new product launch execution

    and ensure market activation at ground level.
  • Travel extensively across markets to monitor field operations and trade dynamics.

Candidate Profile & Requirements:

  • Experience:

    Minimum

    15–20 years

    in FMCG sales with at least

    3–5 years at GM/Head Sales level handling PAN India

    .
  • Must have strong General Trade (GT) experience

    – Modern Trade exposure will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in handling

    PAN India distributor networks and large field sales force

    .
  • Strong

    team leadership and people management skills

    .
  • Language Requirement:

    Hindi speaking is

    mandatory

    . Knowledge of other regional languages is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, negotiation ability, and strategic mindset.
  • Should be ready for

    extensive travel across India

    .
  • MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
