General Manager Operations

As a seasoned and strategic General Manager Operations, you will take charge of overseeing the entire operations of a safety shoes manufacturing unit located in Bantala (West Bengal). Your primary responsibilities will include: - Leading end-to-end plant operations encompassing production, maintenance, quality, procurement, stores, and dispatch. - Optimizing operational performance by focusing on productivity, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery. - Developing and executing production plans aligned with sales forecasts and inventory goals. - Monitoring daily output, reducing bottlenecks, and ensuring optimal capacity utilization. - Ensuring production targets are achieved efficiently with minimal downtime. - Enforcing stringent quality control measures to meet both domestic and international safety footwear standards like EN ISO and ASTM. - Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. - Collaborating with the quality team to minimize in-line and post-production defects. - Creating a safe and compliant working environment throughout the factory. Key Requirements: - Possess a minimum of 12-18 years of experience in the footwear industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. - Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Production, or a related field. - Demonstrate proven leadership skills in operations, lean systems, and quality management. - Have a solid understanding of safety standards, regulatory compliance, and ERP systems. - Exhibit excellent communication, team management, and problem-solving abilities.
