Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) is an international veterinary charity based in the UK. Set up by veterinarian Dr Luke Gamble in 2003, and merged with Dogs Trust in 2023, the charity provides veterinary support to animals in need and acts as a central veterinary resource for animal charities and non-profit organisations around the world.

Role Summary

The General Manager of the WVS Aurangabad ITC is responsible for the strategic, operational, and administrative leadership of the center. This role ensures the smooth functioning of all non-clinical aspects of the ITC, including HR, finance, infrastructure, and stakeholder engagement. The General Manager works closely with the Clinical Director and other senior staff to deliver high-impact veterinary services and training programs.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

• Define and maintain the team structure to support operational efficiency.
• Promote leadership principles and team culture aligned with WVS values.
• Oversee attendance, leave management, and staff welfare.
• Manage internal disputes and conflict resolution processes

Strategy

• Lead strategic planning and implementation of center priorities and targets.
• Develop and maintain an annual calendar
• Coordinate faculty schedules

Finance

• Oversee accounting processes, financial reporting, and audits.
• Ensure transparent and compliant financial practices.
• Prepare and monitor program budgets, expense forecasts, and procurement plans
• Negotiate vendor contracts for travel, catering, and materials

Marketing & Fundraising

• Manage the ITC's online presence, including website updates and social media engagement.
• Support fundraising initiatives and donor communications in collaboration with the central WVS team.
• Explore local CSR opportunities

Logistics & Operations

• Oversee procurement, inventory control, and supplier relationships.
• Ensure timely availability of clinical and operational supplies.
• Help participant travel arrangement, on-site accommodation, and meals
• Oversee setup of Accommodation on a daily basis

Premises Management

• Manage leases, legal agreements, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure infrastructure is maintained and upgraded as needed.
• Oversee utilities (water, electricity, internet) and ensure uninterrupted service.
• Coordinate maintenance and cleaning contracts and ensure high standards of hygiene and safety

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination

• Maintain and develop relationships with government bodies and ensure compliance with local agreements and regulations.
• Liaise with veterinary experts, guest lecturers, and partner organizations
• Communicate program details, policies, and updates to participants and sponsors

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors in management, healthcare, social work, or other relevant fields. MBA, MSW preferred
• Proven experience in operations or general management, preferably in a veterinary, healthcare, or NGO setting.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Experience in budgeting, HR, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with Indian regulatory and governmental frameworks is a plus

Salary

Salary range is between Rs. 7,20,000 - Rs. 8,40,000 CTC based on experience and skills.
