Job Description

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities related to Civil material Purchase and Medical Equipment. Your main duties and responsibilities will include: - Preparing Direct Material Cost (DMC) and Capex estimation for all materials. - Identifying vendors with advanced technology, preparing business plans, validating vendors, and initiating the vendor empanelment process. - Reviewing technical specifications to shortlist vendors. - Preparing necessary documents for floating to Vendors. - Analyzing quotations received and preparing cost estimates for parts as per the Standard Cost Estimation Process. - Proposing a shortlist of the most suitable vendors after negotiation. - Recommending vendors as per long-term sourcing strategy. - Obtaining internal approval for vendor finalization through the sourcing council and releasing PO. - Monitoring and reviewing the financial health, operations, and IR health of suppliers for long-term sustainability. - Identifying vendors that can be groomed as long-term partners. - Conducting supplier negotiations by assessing the current business environment and tactfully negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers. - Developing vendors for critical long lead time items through Early Vendor Involvement (EVI). - Optimizing processes and supply chain by localizing components through resourcing or introducing alternate technologies with the help of vendors. - Comparing the current part with the proposed change and reviewing the commercial impact. - Releasing RFQ for the shortlisted list of vendors and ensuring the amendment of Purchase orders on revised pricing. Qualification & Experience: - Masters degree in Finance, accounting, or Materials Management. - Professional additional qualifications will be an added advantage. - Minimum 12-18 years of proven experience in a similar role. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Excellent Organizational, Planning, Analytical skills, and time-management skills. Desirable: - Experience in Purchase Process, Supplier Negotiation, Should Costing/Zero Based Costing. - Understanding & experience of Cost reduction levers, part validation, and performance measures. - Knowledge of various materials and commercial implications.
