General Ledger Accountant

Job Summary:

Month End Closer supports country controller with the accounting and controlling entries needed for an accurate closing of the books. Month End Closer is responsible for month-end and year-end closings, reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial reporting while adhering to accounting standards and policies.

Roles & Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Record Keeping:

Managing month-end closings:

Ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial statements as per US GAAP for corporate consolidation as per the standard processes for GL close. Strictly adhering to the corporate timelines for month-end close reporting.

Posting journal entries:

Posting various transactions, including revenue adjustments, reserves and accruals, payroll entries, cost center adjustments, Inter-company adjustments etc...

Account Reconciliations:

Reconcile GL accounts to sub-ledgers (e.g., accounts receivable, accounts payable) and analyze variances to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Banking:

Daily reconciling the cash receipts and payments with bank statements and timely clearing of open entries in SAP.

Audit Support:

Maintaining all the approvals and supporting for the Journal entries and adjustments as per the company's policy. Providing information and documentation to auditors.

Skills & Education:

Bachelor of Commerce

2-3 years experience in GL Month end close, account reconciliations and Journal entries

Basic knowledge of SAP

Basic level of accounting skill

Good English Communication skills
