Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Gemologist located in Kolkata. The Gemologist will conduct jewelry and gemstone appraisals, perform identification and grading of gemstones, evaluate estate jewelry and watches, and collaborate with other professionals to provide accurate and trusted reports. Responsibilities also include maintaining adherence to GSI's quality and technological standards.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Jewelry Appraisal, Gemology, and Appraisal techniques
• Proficiency in evaluating Estate Jewelry and Watches
• Strong analytical and observational skills in gem identification and grading
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Gemology or relevant field
• Previous experience in a gemological laboratory or jewelry appraisal setting is an advantage
