Job Title : GCP Cloud Engineer

Location: Hyderabad

Job Type : Onsite

Experience : 10 Years to 12 Years

Shift Timings : 6 PM to 3 AM IST

About the Role

Zion Cloud Solutions is seeking a GCP Cloud Engineer to design, build, and optimize cloud platforms and workloads on Google Cloud. This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong experience in cloud architecture, deployment automation, and modern infrastructure methodologies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in scaling enterprise modernization initiatives and supporting cloud-first digital transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
Architect, configure, and support services such as GKE (Kubernetes), Compute Engine, Cloud Run, BigQuery, IAM, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub .
Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform , Deployment Manager , or Pulumi .
Support migrations from on-prem workloads or other cloud providers to GCP.
Optimize cloud systems for cost efficiency, security, and performance .
Implement logging, monitoring, and observability with Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and Stackdriver .
Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and collaborate with cross-functional engineering and security teams.
Ensure compliance with organization policies, standards, and governance frameworks.

Required Skills Experience

5 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (Compute, Networking, IAM, Storage, Monitoring, Cloud SQL, VPC, Serverless frameworks).
Strong proficiency with Terraform or equivalent IaC tools.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), microservices deployments, and container orchestration .
Solid understanding of DevOps best practices, automation, CI/CD, and GitOps workflows .
Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go .
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Google Cloud certifications such as:
- Professional Cloud Architect
- Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer
- Associate Cloud Engineer
Experience with cloud security frameworks, identity governance, or policy enforcement tools.
Experience with data engineering components such as BigQuery ETL, Dataflow, Dataproc, or Looker (bonus).
Prior experience working in public-sector environments or large enterprise environments.
