Designation: Garment Merchandiser

Location: Factory / Corporate Office

Reporting To: Merchandising Manager / Production Head

Job Purpose:

To coordinate and manage the complete merchandising process from order confirmation to final

shipment, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and buyer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

● Handle buyer communication regarding orders, samples, pricing, and delivery

schedules.

● Prepare cost sheets, order confirmations, and time & action (T&A) calendars.

● Coordinate with sampling department for development, fit, PP, and size-set samples.

● Ensure approvals for fabric, trims, accessories, and lab tests are obtained on time.

● Follow up with sourcing, production, quality, and dispatch teams for smooth order

execution.

● Monitor production progress and ensure on-time completion of orders.

● Coordinate with QA/QC team to ensure quality standards as per buyer requirements.

● Resolve production or quality-related issues in coordination with concerned departments.

● Prepare and maintain order-wise documentation and records.

● Coordinate with logistics and dispatch team for packing, invoicing, and shipment.

● Support buyer audits and inspections.

● Ensure compliance with company and buyer standards.

Skills & Requirements:

● Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.

● Good understanding of fabrics, trims, measurements, and quality standards.

● Ability to manage multiple styles and buyers simultaneously.

● Good communication skills (email and verbal).

● Strong coordination and follow-up skills.

● Knowledge of MS Excel, reports, and basic ERP/HRMS systems.

Qualification & Experience:.

● 2–5 years experience as a Garment Merchandiser in an export house or manufacturing

unit.

● Experience in woven / knit / embroidery / value-added garments (as applicable).
