Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Factory Head to lead our Furniture Manufacturing Facility in Manesar. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in wood and metal furniture, a passion for process optimization, and the ability to manage a diverse, multi-departmental workforce. This is a high-ownership, leadership role with end-to-end accountability for production, quality, safety, and cost control. Key Responsibilities: Factory Setup & Planning: Lead the setup and scale-up of factory infrastructure, teams, and operations. Establish core departments: Carpentry, Painting, Welding, Upholstery, Machinery Operations, Inventory, QC, Accounts, and Packaging. Daily Operations & Team Management: Oversee day-to-day plant activities to ensure timely and quality production. Recruit, train, and supervise department heads and workmen. Drive performance, ensure coordination across teams, and maintain discipline on the shop floor. Production Management: Plan and schedule production to meet customer delivery deadlines. Monitor inventory, reduce wastage, and optimize resource utilization. Track KPIs for output, productivity, and downtime. Quality & Safety Compliance: Ensure all finished products meet stringent quality benchmarks. Maintain a safe, accident-free work environment with proper SOPs and machinery handling practices. Perform regular floor inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively. Maintenance & Cost Control: Plan preventive maintenance for machines and infrastructure. Monitor capital and operational expenses, and implement cost-saving strategies. Reporting & Data Analysis: Generate daily/weekly production and efficiency reports. Analyze trends to identify improvement areas and report management insights. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical field. Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles within wood and metal furniture manufacturing. Hands-on experience in managing factory operations, workforce planning, and production scheduling. Proficiency in interpreting furniture design drawings, material planning, and machine handling (wood/metal). Familiarity with finishes, paint processes, upholstery, and modular joinery is a strong plus. Proven leadership skills with experience in managing labour-intensive teams. Quality-focused, safety-conscious, and results-driven attitude. As we grow, were looking for a dedicated Furniture Production Manager to lead our production unit and ensure seamless operations on the factory floor. Key Responsibilities: Manage and supervise end-to-end furniture production on the factory floor, specifically focused on solid wood furniture . Oversee daily factory operations including cutting, assembling, sanding, polishing, and finishing. Allocate tasks to carpenters and technicians, monitor workflow, and ensure on-time delivery. Interpret and execute technical drawings and design blueprints for custom and bulk orders. Ensure quality control at every stage of production and maintain high standards of craftsmanship. Coordinate with design, procurement, and logistics teams for smooth operations. Track and manage inventory of raw materials, tools, hardware, and finishing supplies . Train and mentor factory staff, promote safety protocols, and ensure compliance with factory regulations. Troubleshoot any production delays or technical issues on the floor. Maintain production reports and contribute to planning for upcoming collections. Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in furniture manufacturing , particularly with solid wood . Strong knowledge of wood types, joinery techniques, finishes, and tools used in traditional and modern furniture production. Proven experience in factory supervision or production management . Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/CAD files and convert them into physical prototypes and final products. Team leadership and people management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and an eye for detail. Understanding of safety standards and quality benchmarks in furniture production. Nice to Have: Familiarity with machinery used in mass furniture production (e.g., panel saws, CNC routers, edge banders). Knowledge of modular furniture manufacturing and modern workshop tools. Exposure to ERP or production tracking tools .
