Production Supervisor - Carpentry unit

As a Production Supervisor at Phantom Hands, a Bangalore based furniture company specializing in high-quality furniture for the global market, your role will involve overseeing the woodworking unit with a focus on maintaining production efficiency and quality. **Key Responsibilities:** - Supervise the carpentry shop floor on a day-to-day basis to ensure adherence to processes, safety procedures, and guidelines. - Plan and schedule work for carpenters based on the order pipeline. - Manage material planning, sourcing, and preparation, especially wood procurement and seasoning. - Monitor production efficiency to ensure timely delivery as per committed schedules. - Conduct quality control at each production stage, ensuring proper use of templates, gluing time, and joinery techniques. - Lead and manage a team of skilled carpenters, addressing discipline and HR issues. - Maintain and ensure the timely service of machinery in the woodworking unit. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 10 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or woodworking production, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. - In-depth knowledge of materials, specifically wood, and manufacturing processes. - Proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD drawings. - Strong written communication skills. - Ability to work with high precision and attention to detail. The work location for this position will be at the workshop in Abbigere industrial area, Jalahalli, Bangalore.
