Furniture Designer

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer with strong technical and design skills to develop customized furniture solutions for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. The candidate should have a good understanding of materials, joinery, ergonomics, and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design custom furniture including wardrobes, kitchens, loose furniture, and built-in units
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, working drawings, and BOQs
• Develop concepts, sketches, and 3D models as per design intent
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, vendors, and site teams
• Ensure designs meet functional, ergonomic, and aesthetic requirements
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, hardware, and accessories
• Review drawings for accuracy and feasibility before production
• Assist in prototype development and factory coordination
• Conduct site visits for measurements, installations, and quality checks

Required Skills & Software

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar software
• Knowledge of modular and custom furniture systems
• Strong understanding of materials (wood, plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware)
• Familiarity with manufacturing techniques and detailing
• Ability to read and produce precise technical drawings
• Good communication and coordination skills

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or Architecture
• Relevant industry experience in furniture or interior design projects
