Job Description

Role Overview: You are looking for an AVP in Alternative Investment Services with hands-on experience in Private Equity and Hedge Fund portfolio valuations. As the incumbent, you will be responsible for managing and handling a large team, reporting to an AVP-2 or a VP. Key Responsibilities: - Independently lead and manage an Alternatives Investment Services team for end-to-end accounting and valuations of Private Equity & Hedge Funds for Limited Partners. - Be self-motivated and self-driven, ensuring team motivation to consistently achieve flawless delivery. - Manage an AIS team of 25+ FTEs to meet the bank's SLAs on quality and timeliness for clients. - Drive continuous process improvements for existing AIS processes, functions, and clients. - Work closely with global teams in a large and complex organization, handling client issues, queries, and escalations. - Participate in Client Calls and provide solutions along with internal teams like Client Services and Client Relationship. - Update and maintain process SOPs as per business risk team standards. Functional Skills: - Strong analytical skills to manipulate large sets of data related to Private Equity & Hedge Funds valuations. - Perform end-to-end accounting and valuations of Private Equity & Hedge Funds, sign-off on daily/monthly valuations and NAVs for LP clients. - Interpret PCAPs, ILPAs, Notices & LODs, and book capital activities/cash flows accordingly. - Track and resolve AIS coded cash breaks within 30 days. - Perform tolerance and validation checks before sign-offs. - Possess 10+ years of work experience in Alternative Investments, understanding Hedge, Private Equities, and other products. - Good knowledge of accounting as per US GAAP or IFRS. - Understanding of asset classes traded over exchanges in primary & secondary markets and OTC. Risk Management: - Adhere to internal process controls for operational effectiveness. - Continuously assess operational risks and update control gaps. - Evaluate and remediate Operational Incidents. - Support compliance with internal and external audits. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Management. - ACCA/CMA certifications or Masters would be an added advantage.
