Functional Safety Manager

Job Description

Definition, planning and managing of all safety related activities during the project and product lifecycle, accordingly to ISO 26262 standard, including all confirmation measures, verification reviews plan and the safety case Tailoring of the safety related activities during product development and of the resulting work products in compliance with all ISO26262 requirements Creation, maintenance and update of the Safety Plan during the project and product lifecycle Interfacing to customers and suppliers with respect to functional safety, including Development Interface Agreements (DIA) with customer(s) and with suppliers (when applicable) Driving execution and monitoring the progress of all safety activities during the project and product lifecycle, to ensure compliance with respect to the Safety Plan and ISO26262 Ensuring that any corrective actions needed to achieve compliance to ISO26262 within the project are adequately implemented Creation, maintenance and update of Safety Case Report and ISO26262 compliance documentation Key Skills: ISO26262 deep and practical knowledge, good knowledge of ASPICE, APQP and OEM/TIER1 typical product development and milestones. Agile development principles Requirements and SW development tools (JAMA, JIRA) and PM tools (MSP) Ability to interface customers (OEM's) and suppliers (TIER2) Demonstrated capability for action/initiative, customer focus, and a strong capability to lead in a team environment Proven problem solving skills, including ability to interpret data, define actions, and implement solutions Executive oriented communication style English written and oral communication skills Qualifications: At least 8 years of automotive experience At least 5 years experience in ISO 26262 Safety roles At least 3 years experience in the role of ISO 26262 Safety Manager At least 3 years experience with electric products (preferably automotive) Experience in electric product system architecture definition (electric, electronics, software) Experience with embedded SW products Preferred Qualifications: - L2 ISO 26262 certification - Prior experience with high speed motors and/or powertrain applications. - Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering. - Understanding of Automotive standards o LV-123 / VDA-320 / Automotive high voltage standards o ISO 16750 / LV-124 Electrical component validation Education: - Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Engineering Skills Autosar
