Functional Consultant

As a Techno-Functional Analyst, your role will involve working closely with both Finance and IT to ensure that Finance receives the necessary system support and reporting. You will need to combine your finance knowledge, IT technical expertise, and reporting skills to facilitate seamless communication between teams. Your responsibilities will include: - Ability to translate Finance requirements into technical inputs for IT and vice versa - Strong Power BI skills including dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX, and SQL - Adaptability and comfort in cross-functional teams and new implementations - Conducting in-depth impact analysis for proposed changes in SAP, Sage, and other enterprise finance solutions - Overseeing functional and technical testing, user acceptance testing, and documentation - Providing expert guidance on SAP and Sage finance modules and integration best practices - Coordinating project delivery, escalation management, and ensuring timely implementation - Supporting end-users in troubleshooting, training, and process adoption - Maintaining compliance with business processes, regulatory standards, and audit requirements - Engaging in cross-functional meetings and advocating for effective solution delivery Qualifications required for this role: - Degree in IT, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or related fields - IT/technical background (not purely finance) - 3-5 years of experience in a cross-functional role between Finance and IT - Hands-on experience with ERP finance modules (SAP, SAGE, Oracle, or similar) - Working knowledge of SQL - Prior experience in a mid-sized company handling end-to-end reporting - Knowledge of finance processes (AP/AR/GL/ERP workflows etc.) - Proven track record in requirements gathering, process documentation, and translation of functional needs into technical solutions - Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams - Certification in SAP/Sage preferred - Knowledge of Indian and/or US finance regulatory requirements preferred Additionally, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, we strive to create a diverse and inclusive work environment.
