Description
As a Full Stack Java Developer in Calicut, you will be responsible for owning backend systems for a global fleet SaaS (AVLView) that processes high-volume telemetry. Your role will involve designing and scaling microservices, optimizing performance metrics like p95/p99, mentoring developers, and delivering reliable features. You must have at least 3 years of experience with Java/Spring Boot, production microservices, AWS, and strong SQL/NoSQL fundamentals. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead end-to-end development including requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support. - Build robust and reusable Java services and libraries while enforcing clean architecture and design patterns. - Own performance optimization by instrumenting services, analyzing bottlenecks, and improving latency and throughput metrics. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate features, ensure quality through automated tests and CI/CD. - Mentor junior engineers, review code for reliability, security, and maintainability. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's/Master's in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience. - 3+ years of professional Java experience with a strong grasp of OOP and design patterns. - Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, REST APIs, and microservices in production. - Proficiency in cloud services on AWS (ECS/EC2, RDS/PostgreSQL, S3) and familiarity with Kafka/RabbitMQ. - Strong SQL/NoSQL fundamentals, experience in performance tuning, and observability practices. - Proficient with Git, modern workflows, clear communication, and problem-solving skills. **Additional Details:** - This is an in-person role based in Calicut, Kerala with no remote work option. - Nice to have experience includes Docker, Kubernetes, HAProxy, caching layers, and distributed systems. - Track record in improving cost/performance metrics such as query tuning, connection pooling, and caching is a plus.
