EY- Finance FS Senior- Private Equity
As part of our EY-Finance FS Team, the individual will be responsible for working closely with Managers.
The opportunity
We need a GP accounting expert to execute key functions such as accounting, reporting, and financial analysis. Youll manage fund budgets, ensure compliance, and work with leadership to enhance client services.
Your key responsibilities
- Candidate should be Private equity finance SME and he/she should have worked exposure in PE sector.
- Execute the following Finance Private Equity solutions using Global service delivery framework
- Preparation of quarterly financial statements and allocations files of General Partner entities and other carried interest vehicles
- Preparation of quarterly reporting packs for internal Partners, Principals and Vice-Presidents
- Preparation of cash planning analyses and forecasts for CFO and executive management
- Coordination with teams regarding transaction correspondence and quarterly reporting
- Preparation of ad-hoc requests from
- Current and former carried interest participants
- External parties (ex tax advisors, attorneys, financial planners, etc.)
- Internal parties (CFO, Fund Accounting, Tax Accounting, Legal Group, etc.)
- Demonstrate a good understanding of accounting concepts; stay informed of professional standards and firm policies and effectively apply this knowledge to moderately difficult and/or complex client situations.
- To prepare periodic valuation reconciliations of fund draw downs and distributions, accruals, expenses etc.
- To provide input in relation to the review and monitoring of existing business process, procedures, and checklists to maximise efficiency and productivity in the Private Equity Team.
- Follow through on client requests in a timely fashion and manage expectations regarding the timing of deliverables and reports.
- Identify engagement and client service issues.
- Benchmark client financial data to industry data to make possible recommendations for improvements.
- Work on the internal financial controls and procedures as applicable to PE clients.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations that may impact the funds operations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel as needed and Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with Manager and Senior leaders.
Skills and attributes for success
- Good understanding of Private Equity Finance and Accounting operations
- Candidate from consulting background in PE finance would be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of ledger/subledger and financial ERPs.
- Technical accounting research and advice on potential accounting challenges for Private Equity clients.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with investors and senior management.
Qualifications
- 6+ year of strong work experience in GP accounting and reporting
- Strong work experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, FIS Investran, Coupa, Power BI and Workday
- Qualified CA, CPA or CMA
