What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain tools for

  3D site modeling

  ,

  solar panel placement

  , and

  shadow visualization

• Perform accurate

  solar simulations

  using Python-based frameworks
• Calculate

  solar position

  ,

  shadow casting

  , and

  irradiance analysis

• Model

  solar performance metrics

  and

  energy yield predictions

• Integrate and fine-tune algorithms for

  sun-path tracking

  ,

  shading

  , and

  solar geometry

Must-Have Skills & Knowledge

Python

✅ Experience with solar simulation libraries like:

NREL PVLib

System Advisor Model (SAM)

custom solar geometry algorithms

✅ Solid understanding of:

Solar geometry

Shading analysis and simulation

Irradiance modeling & performance prediction
