Front End Engineer

Role Overview: As an enthusiastic technology professional at UBS, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape the Reference Data service architecture and technology stack. Joining the WMA workplace wealth solutions Team, you will play a crucial role in building a new digital platform for the organization. In this role, you will be part of an agile operating model aligned to larger products and services, working in autonomous pods to fulfill client needs. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, implement, and manage technology platforms in the client onboarding / lifecycle management areas - Apply a broad range of full stack development, security, reliability, and integration technologies on the Azure platform - Integrate with various systems to deliver a seamless experience for clients and advisors - Manage platform technical roadmap to ensure modern capabilities are continuously evaluated and onboarded - Develop partnerships with cross-functional teams to meet firm's requirements Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and delivering large, scalable systems - Proficiency in Java/J2EE, React JS, Kafka, REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture - Familiarity with application frameworks like Spring Boot & Micronaut, cloud technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure services - Strong SQL and data analysis skills, experience with NoSQL DBs like Cosmos DB or MongoDB is a plus - UNIX/Linux experiences and scripting skills, knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and web development - Excellent communication and team player skills, working knowledge of Agile development processes - Analytical problem-solving abilities, experience in leading teams across geographies in managing business-critical platforms About the Company: UBS is the world's largest truly global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions across more than 50 countries.
