Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Data Management Engineer (Fresher) to join our Film Restoration team. The candidate will assist in managing digital data related to film restoration projects, ensuring the safe handling, organization, and backup of high-resolution image and sound files.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a fresher with a Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology to gain hands-on experience in digital media workflows, film preservation, and large-scale data management systems used in the media industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the data team in managing digital assets through all stages of the film restoration workflow.
• Assist in data transfers, backups, and file organization between departments (scanning, restoration, grading, and mastering).
• Help maintain proper folder structures, naming conventions, and metadata tagging for efficient file tracking.
• Monitor storage systems and ensure sufficient space for ongoing projects.
• Learn and support data integrity checks using checksum tools.
• Assist in LTO backup and archival processes.
• Support the setup and operation of workstations and servers used in restoration workflows.
• Maintain basic data logs and documentation for all transfer and storage activities.
• Work under the guidance of senior data engineers to ensure smooth project data flow.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology or related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking.
• Familiarity with file management, storage devices, and backup procedures.
• Good understanding of digital files and formats (images, video, and audio).
• Interest in media technology and film restoration.
• Good attention to detail, discipline in documentation, and teamwork.

Education & Experience

• Educational Qualification: Diploma in Computer Science / IT (or equivalent).
• Experience: 0–1 year (freshers are welcome).
• Training: On-the-job training will be provided in film restoration data management and workflow

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹120,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per year
