You''ll play a key role in producing and managing technical documentation to support train operation and maintenance in French. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business (Project Managers, LSA Managers, ISR Managers), manage relationships with subcontractors, and ensure the highest quality standards in documentation processes and outputs.
Youll specifically take care of producing maintenance documentation using Alstoms standard methods and tools, but also ensure proper codification and centralization of data.
Well look to you for:
- Ensuring the QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) of maintenance documentation projects
- Producing and delivering maintenance documentation in alignment with the Documentation Management Plan or ISR Management Plan
- Capitalizing on data and inputs in the central ISR repository (ILS PDM)
- Defining and implementing key processes to deliver high-quality documentation
- Publishing maintenance documentation using Alstoms electronic catalogue standards
- Managing partners involved in authoring activities and ensuring feedback (REX) is collected and applied
- Collaborating with the LSA Manager to produce documentation for maintenance activities
- Ensuring the documentation database (ILS PDM) is accurately defined and maintained

- Engineering University Degree or equivalent (mandatory)
- Specialization in Maintenance Documentation (desirable)
- 6-8 years of experience in French technical writing and translation
- Proficiency in French (B2 level or above) and English, with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in preparing content and illustrations for operation and maintenance manuals, parts catalogues, etc., in both French and English
- Familiarity with technical documentation standards such as S1000D and STE (preferred)
- Experience with tools like Arbortext Editor, Trados, MemoQ, Adobe Illustrator, Isodraw, Photoshop, FrameMaker, and CAD tools
- Exposure to the rail/transportation domain (preferred)
- Strong skills in documentation management, stakeholder coordination, and meeting deliverables on time with high quality
- Proficiency in ISR elements applicable to railroad equipment (RAMS, LORA, RCM, LCC)
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities
- Strong team player with effective communication skills
