Freelance Backend Java Developer (Remote)

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Backend Developer to join our team on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and RESTful API development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Spring Boot and a Microservices approach.
• Design and implement REST APIs for seamless integration with frontend and third-party systems.
• Integrate and manage data persistence with MySQL.
• Handle AWS S3 integration for file storage and retrieval.
• Work with Kafka for real-time data streaming and messaging.
• Utilize Redis for caching and performance optimization.
• Deploy and manage applications on cloud servers (AWS / DigitalOcean / other).
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality releases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in backend development with Java & Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of Microservice Architecture and RESTful API design.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL, AWS S3, Kafka, and Redis.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud servers (AWS, GCP, or similar).
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git/GitHub).
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of security best practices in backend development.
