DUTIES

Position

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving franchise growth and retail expansion by identifying qualified prospects, building strategic relationships, and converting leads into long-term business partnerships. This role demands a high degree of market engagement, operational discipline, and performance tracking. The BDM will serve as a key contributor to the companys growth strategy by consistently meeting lead generation and franchise acquisition targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue potential franchise opportunities by developing recruitment strategies, converting prospects, negotiating terms, and providing end-to-end support through onboarding.
  • Drive regional sales targets through effective retail management and business development initiatives.
  • Monitor and improve performance of existing stores using key retail metrics.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with franchisees, landlords, and key regional stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to execute region-specific campaigns and maintain brand consistency.
  • Provide regular reports on regional performance, forecasts, and market insights.

Performance

  • Strict adherence to daily reporting and field execution discipline
  • High conversion rate of prospects to signed franchise agreements
  • Consistent alignment with regional and national growth objectives
  • Timely data updates and clear communication with internal stakeholders

Key

The Business Development Manager will be expected to execute the following activities with discipline and consistency to drive business growth, operational efficiency, and team performance:

1 Participate in daily Morning Review Meetings at 8:30 AM

2 Submit morning and evening activity reports to the Head of Department

3 Execute duties in alignment with the Weekly Travel Plan

4 Mark attendance via Kisna Force App with live photo and shop geolocation

5 Update business development and market activity data in the Birdigo App

6 Conduct structured physical market visits for lead generation and relationship management

7 Minimum 15 visits/day

8 Make follow-up and prospecting phone calls

9 Visit automobile dealerships to explore strategic partnerships and lead sources

10 Obtain Letters of Interest (LOIs) from potential franchise partners

Minimum 1/day

10 Host virtual meetings with prospective clients to present the franchise model Minimum 1/day

11 Conduct site evaluations of potential franchise locations

Minimum 2 visits/week

12 Coordinate and support client visits to the Mumbai Head Office for final presentations or onboarding Minimum 1/week

13 Achieve individual franchise sign-up targets Minimum 2/month

SKILLS

  • Any Bachelors degree/MBA in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 8-10 years of retail business development experience, preferably in jewelry or luxury retail.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
