Fractional CFO
to provide strategic financial leadership, ensure robust fiscal governance, and enable capital-efficient growth across multiple geographies.
Role Overview
The Fractional CFO will act as the
principal financial strategist and senior advisor
to the CEO, Board, and global leadership team. This role demands
deep IT services finance expertise, international financial operations knowledge, and multi-currency management capabilities
. While fractional, the role will directly influence
financial strategy, governance, risk management, and global profitability
.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership
- Define and execute a global financial strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives.
- Advise the CEO and Board on long-term capital structuring, M&A opportunities, and international expansion.
- Drive fundraising strategy (equity, debt, hybrid) and investor engagement.
- Global Financial Operations
- Oversee financial operations across India, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and APAC.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, Ind AS, and local statutory requirements.
- Manage multi-currency accounting, transfer pricing, and tax optimisation strategies.
- Build strong relationships with banks, investors, and auditors.
- Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Implement enterprise-wide financial controls and risk management frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, and international tax laws.
- Oversee internal audits and compliance across subsidiaries and partner entities.
- Performance & Profitability
- Lead financial forecasting, FP&A, budgeting, and KPI tracking.
- Optimise cost structures and improve margins through data-driven insights.
- Align financial planning with technology investments, including AI-driven initiatives.
- Investor & Stakeholder Relations
- Prepare and present board-level financial reports and investor updates.
- Support fundraising, due diligence, and IPO/strategic exit readiness.
- Serve as a trusted advisor in board meetings and strategic sessions.
Qualifications & Experience
- 20+ years in progressive finance leadership, with 10+ years in senior roles within IT services/technology.
- Expertise in managing multi-entity, multi-currency financial operations across global markets.
- Proven success in scaling IT services businesses, M&A, fundraising, and investor relations.
- Strong understanding of AI/technology investment models, SaaS/PaaS economics, and services revenue recognition.
- Track record of working with global boards and cross-border financial structures.
Preferred Certifications
- CA (Chartered Accountant) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
- CFA Charterholder (or Level III cleared)
- CIMA / CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountant)
- IFRS Certification for international reporting
