As a Foundry Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing the cast iron foundry operations. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Supervising daily foundry operations such as melting, molding, pouring, fettling, and heat treatment. - Planning production schedules to ensure timely delivery of castings. - Monitoring input weight, finish weight, yield, and scrap levels for cost optimization. - Ensuring adherence to quality standards as per IS/ASTM/Customer specifications. - Managing manpower, providing training, and ensuring safety compliance. - Coordinating with the machine shop for machining allowances and finished part requirements. - Driving process improvements to reduce rejection rates and enhance productivity. - Maintaining records, documentation, and reporting for management review. To qualify for this role, you should have: - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Production Engineering (preferred). - 10-15 years of experience in cast iron/SG iron foundry operations. - Strong knowledge of foundry processes, quality systems, and cost control. - Leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and meet production targets.
