Founding Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Founding Engineer to join our growing team at Astrico AI. The ideal candidate is an early-career engineer with strong programming fundamentals, eager to learn modern technologies, and passionate about building reliable, scalable software solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain software applications using Python, Django, and ReactJS.
2. Assist in designing and implementing scalable backend systems.
3. Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver business-focused solutions.
4. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with proper documentation.
5. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.
6. Learn and contribute to AWS-based deployments and cloud infrastructure.
7. Gain exposure to AI/ML systems, including working with LLMs, embeddings, and data pipelines.
8. Stay curious about emerging technologies in AI, cloud, and enterprise data.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in software development.
3. Strong problem-solving and programming fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OOP).
4. Hands-on project experience with Python/Django or other backend frameworks.
5. Familiarity with ReactJS or modern frontend frameworks.
6. Understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and ORM concepts.
7. Basic knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
9. Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced startup environment.

The candidate will have to work from our office in Kandivali, Mumbai.
