Foundation Brakes

As a Foundation Brakes specialist, your role will involve supporting the delivery and engineering release of assigned brake components into the company's PLM/3Dx system. This includes collaborating with suppliers to define optimum braking requirements, generating and maintaining BOMs in PLM/3Dx, producing component drawings following ISO standards, and generating component envelope files to support the packaging team. Your technical ownership responsibilities will include supporting component DFMEA activities to identify and mitigate potential failure modes, managing component DVP requirements, and ensuring timely completion of validation activities. Furthermore, as part of supplier management, you will act as the primary technical and delivery interface to Tier 1 suppliers for foundation brake components, manage supplier timing, quality, and cost performance, and support suppliers in meeting release deadlines and resolving technical issues. You will also be responsible for parts & configuration management by ensuring accurate maintenance of part numbers, revisions, and configurations, as well as supporting change management processes and documentation. Additionally, your role will involve providing build support by offering engineering support during prototype and production builds, resolving fit, function, and quality issues in collaboration with manufacturing and quality teams, and ensuring timely delivery of parts for builds and testing. As part of continuous improvement opportunities, you will identify ways to reduce complexity, cost, and weight without compromising performance or safety, and support other aggregates in the business to achieve program release milestones.
