Footwear Developer & Sourcing Specialist

You will be responsible for collaborating with design teams to create and refine footwear concepts, ensuring alignment with brand standards and market trends. Conducting material research and selection, focusing on sustainability and performance will be a key part of your role. You will need to develop and maintain detailed technical specifications and prototypes for footwear products. Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to secure quality materials and manufacturing services is crucial. Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth communication and collaboration will also be essential. Monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality standards and timelines is part of your responsibilities. You will oversee the entire development process from concept to production, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and production, to align product development with business goals is necessary. Analyzing market trends and consumer feedback to inform product development and sourcing strategies is also expected. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field, along with 2-6 years of experience in footwear development and sourcing. You should have strong knowledge of footwear materials, manufacturing processes, and market trends. Excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
