Conducting meticulous research on materials such as fine porcelain, bone china, glass, and metals will be crucial to guaranteeing that the chosen materials meet our stringent quality and aesthetic criteria. Your role will also entail close collaboration with the production team to achieve impeccable color matching and finishes for each collection. It will be essential to maintain uniformity in color and texture across different pieces within the collection, ranging from dinner plates to decorative homeware. Developing initial design concepts that resonate with the brand's vision and refining them through iterative feedback, prototype testing, and design modifications will be pivotal. You will oversee the creation of prototypes, collaborating closely with manufacturers to ensure that the final products reflect your design intent, making necessary adjustments based on testing and production feedback to uphold quality standards. Acting as a bridge between design and production teams, you will ensure the accurate translation of your designs into high-quality, mass-produced items, offering guidance during the production process to ensure adherence to design specifications. Your role will also involve ensuring cohesion in design, size, and material choices across all pieces within a collection, maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout dinnerware sets and homeware collections. Possessing a comprehensive understanding of various product models and their specifications will be essential to ensure the adaptability of designs across different product lines while upholding consistency in quality and luxury appeal. For this role, a minimum of 4 years of experience in product design, particularly in luxury homeware, tableware, or crockery, is required. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Coral Draw, InDesign) is essential, along with a strong portfolio showcasing refined design sensibility, creativity, and technical skills in product design, emphasizing material knowledge, sizing, and final product prototypes. A profound knowledge of luxury materials and their properties, as well as strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams, are prerequisites. Troubleshooting design issues during prototyping and production phases and familiarity with luxury tableware and homeware production processes are additional requirements for this role.
