Firmware Test Engineer

Your responsibilities include providing project-based technical leadership, collaborating closely with firmware developers, participating in all software development lifecycle aspects, presenting status updates to management, planning test efforts, and leading software test development activities. This role involves creating software test architecture, developing test requirements, overseeing the test development process (C#), conducting peer reviews, and continuously improving software test processes. You should be comfortable interacting with people at all levels and across different functions, cultures, and geographies. A self-motivated team player who can set and achieve goals, you excel in learning, problem-solving, and collaboration. The role requires working with Firmware Design and User Interface Software teams. Requirements: - 5 to 7 years of experience in software testing with embedded firmware systems in microcontroller-based Pressure & Temperature Transmitter products - Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / M. Sc. Electronics with programming focus - Agile development methodologies knowledge and experience - Ability to collaborate with global engineering teams - Experience working in geographically distributed teams - Firmware lead experience - Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools - Knowledge of serial communication protocols (SPI, I2C, USB) and cybersecurity/SIS product development - Object-oriented programming experience - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: - Masters" degree or equivalent experience Emerson values a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
