As an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test, you have a great opportunity at Emerson to lead and participate in the design and implementation of test automation software for pressure and temperature measurement devices. Your role involves collaborating with a small team to deliver highly accurate measurements with unmatched reliability to customers across various industries. You will work with engineers from global sites to achieve program objectives. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide project-based technical leadership - Collaborate closely with firmware developers - Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle - Present status updates and metrics to management - Plan test effort and develop test strategies for automation (90%) and manual testing (10%) - Lead and implement software test development activities - Oversee the test development process including designs, reviews, and implementation - Perform extensive peer reviews - Create and execute validation tests - Continuously improve software test processes **Qualifications Required:** - 5 to 7 years of experience in Software testing with embedded firmware systems - Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent experience in Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunication/M. Sc. Electronics - Knowledge and experience with agile development methodologies - Ability to work with global engineering teams - Firmware lead experience - Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools - Knowledge of serial communication protocols like SPI, I2C, USB, etc - Experience with object-oriented programming - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Emerson prioritizes a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
