Motion Business Drive Products Division at ABB Innovation Center, Bangalore INDIA. You will be working with the teams which are developing and validating products for the Indian and global markets. You will also be a part of global R&D community spread across the ABB Motion Drive Products division .
You will be mainly accountable for:- Building a robust test automation ecosystem for variable frequency drives (VFDs) using technologies such as Python and Robot Framework within the team
- You will be part of the R&D team focused on automating the testing of VFD functionalities. These drives are widely used in industry to conserve energy and control motors, machinery, and industrial processes.
- You are expected to contribute to the execution of the R&D strategy, enabling high-quality, technology-driven product validation with speed and efficiency.
- Applying R&D processes, industry standards, and design constraints relevant to both product architecture and test automation frameworks will be essential.
- You will also be accountable for meeting assigned targets (quality, time, scope, cost) and proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
Qualifications for the role :- Masters degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or Power Electronics Engineering.
- 2-4 years of experience in testing and automation with Python and Robot Framework.
- Good understanding of test automation infrastructure, with practical experience using Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
- Good knowledge of PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives..
- Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
- A passion for innovation, continuous learning, and challenging conventional approaches. You should be open to taking risks and sharing both successes and failures within the team.
