Firewall & Network Security Engineer ( Paloalto) Immediate Joiner

Shifts: Rotational - 24/7 (General Shift)

Location: Pune Hinjewadi Ph 3

Notice Period: Immediate to 1 Month

Role: Permanent

Technical Knowledge

• Maintain the clients security and networking devices and upgrade when necessary
• Providing support for other engineers on PA equipment/software & Cross train in-house to share knowledge and share workload
• If required responsible for LAN installation including switches and routers.(Cisco and HP) Provide support to project managers on security/network deployments & suggest and detail design changes as and when needed
• Documentation for the customers installations and provide continue service advice, Pro-actively review and maintain client infrastructure
• Responding to emergency situations and performing effective troubleshooting during production outages
• Working remotely or onsite as per business requirements
• Knowledge and experience installing and supporting Palo Alto Security Appliances (minimum three years)
• Experience of installing Cisco and HP networking equipment.
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer 7-8 (PCNSE7-8) certification preferred.
• CCNP certified (or higher)

Data knowledge

1. Knowledge of protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, SPT, TRUNKS, VLANs, Port-Channel, Static routing
2. Networking topologies and protocols. Examples being MPLS, VRF, SIP, Traffic Shaping / QoS
3. Palo Alto Command line
4. Cisco command line

• A high level of Palo Alto expertise in design, configuration, migrations, tuning and customization of features
• Thorough knowledge of Panorama, Wildfire, Global Protect, and other Palo Alto features including and not limited to SSL decryption
• Familiarity with Data Centre environment and hosted deployments/cloud
• Experience of supporting clients remotely and face to face, along with experience of working with SIP providers
• Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analyzers
• Must be flexible to work outside of business hours as per business requirements.
• Needs to be able to remain calm under pressure and ensure a logical thought process is maintained.
• Knowledge and understanding for NAC solutions (Cisco ISE).
• Knowledge and understanding for Cisco Prime & DNAC.
• Knowledge and understanding for UTM/ATP features.
• Knowledge and understanding for IPS/IDS.
• Knowledge and understanding for F5 Load balancer (LTM and WAF).
• Knowledge and understanding for Proxy solutions such as (WebSense & Bluecoat).
• Knowledge and Hands on experience for Network tools such as (Firewall Analyzer, Wireshark, Netflow).
• Performance Management & Optimization, Adding/modifying rules, Simplifying/optimizing firewall rules, Configuring NAT and routing
• Remediating Firewall related audit finding, Firewall log management, Firewall log analysis with/without tools, defining firewall configuration and policy backup
• Taking firewall backups, Troubleshooting firewall related issues
