Position : Fireman Company : Astral Limited Location : Dahej, Bangalore Experience Required : 2-5 years Industry Preference : Chemical / Petrochemical / Hazardous Materials Handling About the Role: Astral is seeking a skilled and vigilant Fireman for its Dahej and Bangalore manufacturing facility . The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring fire safety, emergency preparedness, and hazard control, specifically in a chemical plant environment . The role demands a strong understanding of firefighting protocols, work permit systems , and hazardous material management . Key Responsibilities: Fire Safety & Emergency Response: Monitor plant operations and respond to fire emergencies, chemical spills, and other incidents. Operate firefighting equipment such as fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, and fire tenders. Conduct routine checks and maintenance of fire safety systems (alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, etc.). Work Permit System: Ensure strict adherence to work permit procedures for hot work, confined space entry, and hazardous activities. Verify safety precautions before issuing or validating permits. Hazard Identification & Control: Identify fire and chemical hazards and recommend control measures. Participate in mock drills, safety audits, and risk assessments. Support hazardous material handling protocols and emergency response plans. Training & Coordination: Assist in conducting safety training and awareness sessions for plant personnel. Coordinate with EHS and security teams during safety audits and inspections. Key Skills & Attributes: Strong knowledge of firefighting in chemical or hazardous environments Understanding of work permit systems and hazardous material handling Physical fitness, alertness, and readiness to respond under pressure Ability to handle safety documentation and reporting Qualifications: Diploma/ Degree in Fire & Safety or equivalent certification 2-5 years of experience in fire and safety roles , preferably in the chemical or manufacturing sector Knowledge of MSDS , basic firefighting, and plant safety protocols is essential Apply Now: Send your resume to ramesh.chaudhary@astralltd.com or WhatsApp at 8353912032
