Role

Responsibilities

The Fire Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring comprehensive fire safety planning, compliance, and emergency preparedness across the building premises. This role involves strategic oversight, risk mitigation, stakeholder coordination, and continuous improvement of fire safety standards.

Planning & Strategy Development: Develop, implement and periodically review fire safety policies and emergency plans.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct regular fire risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
Compliance & Regulations: Ensure full compliance and fire safety codes and regulations.
System Oversight: Supervise maintenance and testing of fire protection systems including alarms, sprinklers and emergency exits.
Emergency Preparedness: Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular fire drills.
Incident Investigation: Investigate fire incidents and safety breaches and recommend corrective actions.
Liaison & Coordination: Act as a liaison with fire departments, regulatory bodies and contractors.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, drills and incidents.
Budget Management: Support budgeting and contract management for fire safety systems and services.
