Financial Lines & Casualty Underwriter

You will be joining Starr Insurance Companies, a leading insurance and investment organization operating globally. Your role as a Financial Lines & Casualty Underwriter will be based at the newly established office in GIFT City, India. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the development of Financial Lines & Casualty business in India. **Key Responsibilities:** - Maintain and develop existing and new distribution channels. - Handle Financial Lines and Casualty submissions from various distribution channels. - Conduct underwriting and risk analysis of submissions, quotations, and placement. - Market the company's coverages, products, and services by visiting and maintaining relationships with producers and clients. - Collaborate with the team to grow the portfolio successfully and profitably. - Manage certain administrative functions, including coordinating with the policy admin team to ensure the accuracy of work performed. - Represent the company at external events when required. - Assist Local and Regional Heads with ad hoc projects. **Qualifications:** - Good written and oral communication skills. - Strong planning and organizational skills. - Excellent analytical, numerical, and literacy skills. - Proficiency with computers, including experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other industry-related systems. - Sound knowledge of market conditions and financial lines & casualty insurance products. **Education:** - Masters degree or equivalent qualification. **Experience:** - Minimum 5-10 years of working experience in financial lines & casualty underwriting in India & South Asia.
