Financial Data Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Data Analysis & Reporting

  : Analyse financial and operational data to derive actionable insights and support decision-making.

• Power BI Dashboard Development

  : Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for finance and business teams.

• Data Modeling & Transformation

  : Prepare data models and perform ETL tasks to support reporting needs using Power BI and Excel.

• MIS Reporting

  : Assist in preparation and automation of monthly MIS reports for management and financial stakeholders.

• ERP Data Handling

  : Extract and analyze data from Oracle, SAP, Baan, and other ERP systems for reporting and analytics.

• Ad-hoc Analysis

  : Provide timely data support for various internal stakeholders, including corporate finance, operations, and audit teams.

• Continuous Improvement

  : Identify opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency, data quality, and process automation.

• Analytical Skills

  : Strong ability to analyze complex datasets and draw meaningful insights.

• Data Visualization

  : Expertise in building intuitive, visually impactful dashboards using Power BI.

• Attention to Detail

  : High degree of accuracy in data validation, transformation, and reporting.

• Stakeholder Management

  : Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, and Operations.

• Problem-Solving

  : Aptitude to identify data issues and propose solutions proactively.

• Technical Proficiency

  : Proficient in Power BI, Excel, and data extraction from ERP systems.

• Communication Skills

  : Ability to clearly present data insights and technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

• Essential Qualification

  : CA/CMA/ B.Com / BBA / B.Sc. (Statistics / Mathematics) / B.E. / B.Tech (Any Stream)

• Desirable Qualification

  : MBA (Finance) / M.Com / Data Analytics Certification (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python)

• Experience

  : 34 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, preferably within a financial domain or shared services environment

• Tools & Platforms

  :
• Power BI (Mandatory)
• Microsoft Excel & Power Query
• Exposure to Oracle, SAP, or Baan ERP systems (Added advantage)
• Basic SQL knowledge is desirable
