Financial Crime Risk Oversight Specialist - Sanctions

As a Sanctions Oversight & Advisory Specialist at Tide, you will play a crucial role in managing all Financial Crime risk across different jurisdictions and ensuring that Tide's risk governance policies are adhered to. Key Responsibilities: - Act as a subject matter expert on UK, EU, UN, and OFAC sanctions. - Provide guidance on new and existing sanctions regulations and identify significant regime changes. - Develop and maintain global sanctions compliance policies and frameworks. - Conduct penetration testing of screening tools to ensure they align with risk appetite and expectations. - Collaborate with regional Financial Crime Teams on complex sanctions issues and investigations. - Own and maintain the business-wide sanctions and proliferation financing risk assessment globally. - Conduct compliance monitoring to ensure adherence to global sanctions regimes. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 4 years of experience in AML/ CTF & Sanctions role within an FCA/ PRA-regulated financial services firm, particularly in a 2nd line of defence team. - Familiarity with EU/ UK/ UN/ US AML/ CTF & Sanctions regulations and the ability to interpret and apply them in a complex operating environment. - Experience in financial crime/compliance focusing on CDD, fraud, transaction monitoring, risk assessment, investigations, and ongoing monitoring. - Strong analytical skills, data manipulation capabilities, and report generation. - Excellent oral and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and building relationships globally. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment effectively.
