Job Description: Position Title: Financial Controller

Department: Finance Reporting To: CFO / Managing Director
Industry: Newspaper Printing / Media

· Educational Qualification:- B.com /M.com /CA / MBA Finance preferred.

· 20+ years of experience in finance, preferably in media, printing, or manufacturing sectors.

Roles & Responsibilities:1. Financial Planning & Strategy

○ Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

○ Develop financial strategies aligned with business goals..

○ Forecast revenue and expenses considering seasonal trends in newspaper circulation.

○ Analyze financial trends and provide insights to senior management.

2. Financial Reporting & Analysis:

○ Managing the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual) in compliance with relevant accounting standards

○ Ensure timely closing of books and consolidation of financials.

3. Budgeting & Cost Management

○ Prepare and manage annual budgets for editorial, printing, distribution, and marketing departments.

○ Implement cost-efficiency and process improvement initiatives.

○ Monitor cost centers like paper procurement, ink usage, and machinery maintenance.

4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

○ Overseeing daily cash management, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory, to optimize working capital and ensure liquidity.

○ Optimize receivables from advertisers and circulation agents.

○ Manage payables to suppliers and vendors.

5. Compliance & Audit.

○ Ensure full compliance with tax, GST, TDS, and regulatory requirements.

○ Coordinate internal and external audits.

○ Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls.

6. Risk Management

○ Identify financial risks such as fluctuating raw material costs or declining ad revenue.

7. Team Leadership

○ Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team. promote continuous improvement.

○ Allocate tasks, review performance, and conduct training when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
