Financial Controller - Associate

As an HR Controllers Associate within the HR Controllers team at JPMorgan Chase's Firmwide Controllers, you will be responsible for managing compensation-related financial and operational accounting activities. Your role will involve ensuring general ledger accuracy, maintaining internal controls, overseeing financial reporting, and identifying as well as escalating control issues. **Job Responsibilities:** - Prepare and post General Ledger entries to the relevant General Ledger system(s) including Compensation & Employee Benefits, Monthly Accruals/Prepaid, Invoice Allocations, and other manual journal entries. - Conduct daily Bank reconciliations, Monthly Balance sheet reviews, and Monthly & Quarterly General ledger attestations. - Perform Daily/Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Reporting, Variance analysis, including regulatory requirements and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. - Document detailed process understanding and all activities. - Provide support to the Service Recipient, participate in projects, and interact with key stakeholders like Functional teams, Legal Entity Controllers, Tax, and Internal/external audit groups. **Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in tax, accounting, finance, or Chartered Accountant. - Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in GL accounting/finance-related areas, with demonstrated career progression. - Thorough knowledge of Core Accounting procedures and principles. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Strong interpersonal and presentation skills. - Creative self-starter with strong initiative, ability to take ownership, work independently, and contribute to the broader team globally. - Ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Strong analytical and financial skills, structured mindset with process/continuous improvement orientation. **Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:** - Experience with automated financial systems, database management, and worksheet-modeling tools (Excel).,
