Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, payroll, general ledger, and treasury.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budget preparation and mid-year revisions.
  • Build financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning.
  • Monitor budgetary performance and highlight variances with corrective action recommendations.

Cash Flow & Treasury

  • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds.
  • Manage banking relationships and optimize working capital.
  • Monitor collections, payables, and treasury transactions.

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Develop and enforce strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Implement financial policies, SOPs, and best practices.

Management & Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
  • Strengthen financial processes and systems through automation and continual improvement.
  • Provide insights and support to senior management for decision-making.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Oversee accounting software, ERP systems, and financial automation tools.
  • Identify gaps in processes and implement more efficient workflows.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications :

  • CA (Chartered Accountant) preferred
  • MBA in Finance Optional
  • Strong working knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, Companies Act, GST, TDS, and statutory requirements.
  • Strong understanding of distribution business (discounting schemes) preferred.

Experience

  • 815 years of progressive finance & accounting experience, with at least 35 years in a managerial or controller-level role.
  • Experience in manufacturing and FMCG, distribution or medical industry preferred.
  • Proven track record in audits, internal controls, financial statements, cash-flow management.
  • Experience with ERPs and Tally manadatory.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent understanding of statutory compliance, taxation, and corporate law.
  • High proficiency with Excel and financial software.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ethical, detail-oriented, and committed to accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in a growing or mid-sized company where processes needed structuring.
  • Exposure to international accounting or multi-entity consolidation.
  • Ability to scale finance systems and automate workflows
