Role Overview: As a Manager - Finance Operations at HSBC, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of financial data for the preparation and publication of Financial Statements. Your role will involve performing analytical reviews, understanding complex consolidation mechanisms, collaborating with stakeholders, identifying process efficiency opportunities, and ensuring the accuracy of consolidated data. Additionally, you will be required to track data inconsistencies, manage peak periods effectively, and contribute to planning and forecasting activities. Key Responsibilities: - Perform analytical reviews in line with IFRS to ensure data quality - Understand complex consolidation mechanisms for IFRS and FINREP reporting - Prepare and review consolidation journals, manual returns, and ad hoc information - Collaborate with stakeholders to support planning and forecasting activities - Identify opportunities for process efficiency and consistency - Ensure accuracy and validity of consolidated data in financial statements - Build mechanisms to track data inconsistencies and take corrective actions - Be flexible with duties to manage peak periods effectively Qualifications Required: - Qualified CA/CWA/CPA/CFA/MBA (Finance)/PGDBM-Finance with 6+ years of experience or commerce graduates with 8+ years of experience in accounting/financial reporting - Strong understanding of IFRS - Working experience with Wdesk and Saracen is advantageous - Proficiency in financial statement consolidation - Ability to manage service delivery processes - Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite, Saracen, and Hyperion - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Proficient in planning, organizing, and problem-solving techniques - Self-driven and flexible to work according to business requirements - Capable of building rapport with a wide range of people Additional Details: By joining HSBC, you will have the opportunity to achieve more and contribute to a global financial services organization.
