As a Financial Calculations Consultant (IC- Assistant Manager) at MassMutual India, you will have the opportunity to join our dynamic and rapidly growing Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) team. Your key responsibilities will include executing medium to high complexity financial calculations and analytical tasks across multiple product lines. You will be processing a wide range of financial and non-financial transactions, such as contributions, distributions, and exception handling, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Operating across multiple recordkeeping systems to support transaction processing and data management is also a crucial aspect of your role. Effective communication with internal stakeholders, managing transaction timelines, and performing end-of-day processing are essential tasks you will be responsible for. Analyzing client and third-party administrator (TPA) data to identify trends in Not-In-Good-Order (NIGO) transactions and recommending improvements will be a part of your responsibilities. Ensuring accurate processing of client and participant data in alignment with plan parameters and documentation is also a key focus. Maintaining a strong emphasis on quality control with a minimum accuracy rate of 99.90% to mitigate financial risk is imperative. Additionally, handling complex tasks with discretion and sound judgment, serving as a subject matter expert, and mentoring junior team members are part of your role. Driving continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies, participating in workflow enhancements, divisional projects, and process optimization efforts are also expected. Setting and pursuing challenging goals with urgency and precision, delivering high-quality outputs consistently are key components of this role. To qualify for this position, you should have 5-10 years of experience in financial/mathematical calculations with strong numerical reasoning skills. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Defined Benefit and/or PRT pension benefit calculations, including retirement estimates, commencements, and death claims is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Finance (non-technical) are necessary. Extensive experience in the U.S. pension, insurance, or financial services industry is preferred, along with strong critical thinking skills, adaptability, and a quick learning mindset. Willingness to work evening shifts is also a requirement. Preferred skills for this role include excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, understanding of U.S. regulatory requirements affecting pension calculations and operations, experience supporting plan amendments, compliance updates, and onboarding of new plans. Flexibility to support other PRT operational processes as needed, ability to conduct complex research and present findings to leadership, skilled in identifying best practices and recommending process improvements, collaborative problem-solving across departments, and capable of managing special projects and ad-hoc assignments.,
